The roots of the Adawatte estate stretch right back to the very start of tea production in Ceylon, in the late 19th century. The Adawatte tea fields are nurtured on the very eastern edge of the Sri Lankan highlands, just inside the Uva tea region. It's the perfect location to catch the dry, desiccating winds of the south west monsoon, which give these teas their special seasonal character. The tea that we have selected from this estate for you to savour is a Pekoe, which has a well-rolled, curly appearance and a wonderfully aromatic flavour.
